Themes Competition

This is a competition with set subjects.
The objective is to use your imagination and get out using your camera.

We have chosen 5 themes for 2010 and all you need to do is enter a digital image that fits the theme.
You do not need to enter all 5 themes.

Last year we had a number of themes suggested by club members.
We pulled a theme from the hat every few weeks and you had the following few weeks to take the photo and then a few weeks to submit it.
This all got out of hand and we had many extensions to deadlines. This was unfair on the individuals who managed to enter images on time.

This year, all of the titles were announced at the start of the year and entries do not need to be in until October 14th - Judging will take place on 28th October.
The downside of announcing the titles at the start is that many people have now forgotten about it all and there will probably be a rush of images taken at the last moment.

Last year we just had one or two words in the theme title and people struggled for ideas.
This year a bit more thought has gone into the titles and we even have some suggestions - so no excusses.

Judging

Each theme will be judged as separate competitions with points awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd
The scores for all 5 themes will be totalled and the overall winner will get absolutely nothing (ok, maybe a piece of paper with some writing on it) - it’s just a bit of fun to round off the year.
